Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Edit and format technical documents using established Microsoft Word templates and style standards.
- →Create, revise, and maintain Ordnance Documents (ODs), Strategic Systems Programs Instructions (SSPINSTs), meeting minutes, memoranda, formal correspondence, and other program documentation.
- →Develop and maintain action item tracking spreadsheets and master comment resolution matrices using Microsoft Excel.
- →Coordinate technical document reviews and incorporate stakeholder comments into final products.
- →Ensure documentation complies with Department of the Navy policies, directives, and formatting requirements.
- →Support documentation process improvements and configuration management activities, as required.
🧠What You Bring to the Table
- →Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, English, Communications, or a related field; or a minimum of five (5) years of military experience in a technical field.
- →Three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting one or more engineering disciplines (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering, or related technical fields).
- →Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat or Foxit PhantomPDF and MS Teams.
- →Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- →Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- →Active Secret DoD security clearance.
⭐Bonus Points
- →Three (3) or more years of Department of the Navy technical writing experience supporting engineering or acquisition programs.
- →Familiarity with Department of the Navy security policies, documentation standards, and administrative procedures.
- →Experience supporting Navy acquisition, strategic weapons, or defense systems programs is highly desirable.
