As a Material Handler you will receive, store, ship, and issue materials, equipment and other items from the warehouse or storage yard using all varieties of forklifts and load handling equipment. You will keep records and compile inventory and stock data. You will load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse or production facility. You will pull orders together and assemble them for shipment to customers and distribution centers. You will use banding and wrapping machines. You will pick and distribute material to the production areas. Some packaging and unpackaging will be required. You will use bar code readers, computer terminals and other electronic devices to track product. You will work with the safety department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR. You will work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met.

Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Customer and Personal Services: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.

Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Visualization: The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
Static Strength: The ability to exert maximum force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
Trunk Strength: The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support parts of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without “giving out” or fatiguing.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Follow all work instructions
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, forklifts, WAVs, JLGs, radios, fax machines, copy machines, bar code scanners, and computers.
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed by verifying materials and supplies listed on production order
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or material storage
- Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing material and product
- Move material to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas
- Perform and report cycle counts
- Verify inbound receipts against Purchase Orders.
- Place correct Stock Tags on new material
- Sort and distribute material to the correct put away staging area
- Stock material in locations based on Stock Tags
- Fill out and turn in Stock Tags
- Post pick sheets, transfer stock, and research historical inventory data in Syteline
- Follow all company Safety rules and requirements
- High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead
- Must be able to climb, Pull, Push, lift up to 49 pounds occasionally and lift up to 30 pounds constantly
- Must be able to attain a forklift license
- Work in a non-climate-controlled area
- Must be able to work well as a team
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment
