About the Role
~1 min read- Analyze complex data from web analytics, journey analytics, and survey platforms (qualitative + quantitative data) to uncover meaningful patterns and insights.
- Translate data into stories that connect technical findings to client business goals and desired outcomes in language stakeholders understand.
- Develop test-and-learn plans based on insights to help clients optimize their content and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with account teams to tailor reports, insights, and recommendations to each client team's objectives and context.
- Support client needs as needed to help your Knotch Pod communicate findings and answer technical questions.
- Ensure data quality and rigor by maintaining high standards for data cleanliness, accuracy, and statistical validity.
- Challenge assumptions by questioning data anomalies and digging deeper to uncover the "why" behind the numbers.
- Visualize insights through compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations that make complex data accessible.
Requirements
~1 min read- 3-10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics within marketing, digital analytics, or SaaS environments.
- Prior startup or growth-stage company experience working in fast-paced, agile environments.
- SaaS platform experience understanding subscription business models and recurring customer relationships.
- Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics—deep expertise with at least one, proficiency with both preferred
- Data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to create clear, impactful reports
- Excel/Google Sheets mastery for data manipulation, analysis, and quality control
- SEO knowledge to interpret organic search performance and content discoverability metrics
- Data analytics platforms such as Optimizely, Contentsquare, or Amplitude

- SQL for advanced data querying and analysis
- AI experience utilizing AI to code or create analysis
- Knowledge of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Data science methodologies
- A/B testing and UX design/testing experience
- Ability to translate data points into a cohesive story—you take scattered insights across qualitative and quantitative data and weave them into narratives that drive action.
- Experimental rigor and data cleanliness—you maintain the highest standards for accuracy and don't tolerate messy data or unvalidated conclusions.
- Precision and attention to detail—you catch errors others miss and ensure every number tells the truth.
- Time management skills to juggle multiple client projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- Presentation ability and data storytelling—you communicate complex findings in ways non-technical stakeholders understand.
- Proactive attitude and collaborative mindset—you work well within teams and take ownership of outcomes.
- Curiosity—you're naturally inquisitive and driven to understand the "why" behind the data.
- Commercial awareness—you understand how insights connect to business outcomes and revenue.
- Strategic ability and foresight—you can anticipate implications and think several steps ahead.
- Voice your opinions—how can we make the analysis, product, strategy better for our clients based on the analysis that you’re doing?

- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
- Multiple analytics platform certifications
