Do you thrive on turning complex catalogues into seamless, high-converting customer experiences? At Kogan.com, we're looking for an Online Merchandising Lead to own the workflows, standards, and execution of our Merchandising team — ensuring products are discoverable, promotions are well signposted, and navigation delivers a great experience across Kogan.com and our subsidiary sites.

This role manages merchandising execution end to end, balancing BAU with major projects and seasonal campaigns, and acts as the go-to authority for best practice, process, and cross-functional problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Own the end-to-end merchandising workflow, prioritising BAU, projects, and seasonal needs against commercial goals and deadlines.
  • Build and refine best-practice standards, auditing frameworks, and dashboards to monitor navigation, search, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Act as the escalation point for workflow blockers, ambiguous requests, and competing priorities across the business.
  • Report on merchandising performance and KPIs, analysing engagement metrics (CTR, bounce rate, search performance) to recommend course corrections.
  • Lead the merchandising roadmap, cascading priorities and driving structured communication to resolve systemic issues.
  • Act as the central liaison with Purchasing, Marketplace, and Engineering, leading discussions on solutions, enhancements, and prioritisation.
  • Mentor and guide the Merchandising team, scaling best practice and acting as the subject matter authority on complex issues.
  • Degree qualified in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading merchandising, content, or digital trading workflows, ideally within Retail or eCommerce.
  • Strong analytical skills, with confidence turning data and dashboards into clear recommendations.
  • A solid understanding of site navigation, search, and customer journey principles in an eCommerce context.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable providing structured updates and leading discussions across teams.
  • A proactive team leader with experience mentoring others while staying close to day-to-day execution.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Work with an incredible team to solve important challenges, helping to drive Australia and New Zealand’s eCommerce future
  • Your role has a lot of ownership, autonomy and little red tape
  • You’ll be empowered to achieve positive outcomes and your work will have a real impact
  • You’ll be at the forefront of the eCommerce industry  with us and be part of a company that are the Pioneers of eCommerce in Australia
  • Be an Intrepreneur, playing a hands on role in shaping our strategy at our HQ
  • A range of employee benefits such as; complimentary Kogan First Membership, team exclusive discounts, Health & Wellness program, Learning & Development and Lunch & Learns, Hackathons, Team member referral program, Company and team events and celebrations, community engagement (volunteering) and extensive career development opportunities plus loads more!
