QA Technician - 2nd Shift

• →Performs quality control inspections on production samples. Performs chemical and microbiological analysis on raw materials and final products to verify adherence to stated specifications.
• →Performs routine line inspections, audits, and equipment checks on the production floor.
• →Uses keen observation skills, clear communication skills, and good judgment to catch, address, and prevent production errors.
• →Approves release of products and materials.  
• →Maintains various production and raw material testing and problem logs and records.
• →Stores production and raw material samples.  
• →In consultation with supervision, takes proper steps to troubleshoot problems in the lab and on the production floor.  
• →Maintains lab equipment and keeps work area clean.  
• →Performs all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Lab Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.  
• →Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.  
• →Communicates effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner within the quality department and with other departments throughout the plant at all levels.  
• →Performs sanitation inspections on equipment and facility to maintain a sanitary and food safe environment.  

• Minimum Education Required: 4 Year degree in a science related field or 1 year minimum of equivalent experience in a QA or laboratory setting.
• Experience in SAP is preferred.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to use various laboratory equipment.
• Ability to perform inspections on the production floor.

This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Manager.
