About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy based in Qatar, is seeking an experienced Project Director – Fit-Out to oversee the full delivery cycle of high-end interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be based in Doha and must currently hold a valid Qatar residency. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability to executive management and key client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

→Lead end-to-end project delivery across high-value fit-out schemes — commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and luxury residential
→Define project governance frameworks: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality baselines
→Act as primary interface between client, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities
→Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams (PMs, site managers, engineers, coordinators)
→Drive value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and client expectations
→Ensure compliance with Qatar construction codes, authorities, and QCDD requirements
→Report project performance through KPIs, dashboards, and executive steering committees
→Oversee procurement, vendor selection, and contract administration (FIDIC / bespoke)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
20+ years of progressive project management experience — with at least 5 years in a Director / Programme Director capacity
Demonstrable fit-out project experience in Qatar or the GCC region (retail, hospitality, F&B, corporate interiors)
Strong commercial acumen — P&L awareness, contract negotiation, and cost control
Familiarity with Qatar regulatory and Ashghal / MMUP approval processes
Proficiency in project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
PMP, MRICS, or CIOB certification is an advantage
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Currently residing in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
