Behavior Analyst (BA) Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) Designated Coordinator (DC)
Looking for a position that offers growth working with clients with diverse disabilities in a community setting? This position will be a member of the Community Services Team and will work directly with a seasoned, full-time QDDP and Director of Community Services. This part-time position will have opportunity will manage a caseload and exposed to all facets to ensure all our clients thrive and become the best version of themselves.
.1 Job Summary: The Behavior Analyst (BA/QDDP) represents Laura Baker Services Association to the customers and communities in which the Association participates, using Laura Baker Services Association standards of conduct and guiding philosophies to promote the well-being of the who the Association supports. The BA ensures that the necessary programs are created, evaluated using objective standards, and modified as needed to provide active treatment in accordance with each person’s ISP and IPP. The BA conducts quality assurance assessments and provides feedback to ensure continuous quality improvement of services. S/he also functions as a member of the Community Services Management Team.
.2 Conditions of Employment: The BA must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background check and must be able to maintain that eligibility. S/he must pass the post hire drug screening test and random drug testing throughout employment. S/he must be able to perform the environmental, physical, mental, and sensory demands of the job. Upon hire, s/he must be able to prove that s/he has valid work status. S/he must have QDDP or DC status, as defined by the Code of Federal Regulations.
.3 Reporting Responsibilities: The BA reports to the Director of Community Services. S/he is a member of the Community Services Management Team and is responsible to regularly attend the scheduled meetings of that team.
.4 Internal Contacts: The BA will interact with any and all staff members and the people Laura Baker Services Association supports. Primary contacts will be with service recipients, QDDP’s, the program’s management team, direct service staff, and the Director of Community Services.
.5 External Contacts: The BA will interact with all of the constituencies of Laura Baker Services Association and the community at large. Primary contacts will be with parents, guardians, case managers, mental health professionals, and day program providers or school staff.
.6 Responsibilities and Duties: The BA is responsible for ensuring that the following responsibilities are completed promptly and to the best of his/her abilities:
Representing:
the Association in a positive and professional manner, and adhering to the policies and procedures of Laura Baker Services Association
the decisions of the Association and program management team in a positive and professional manner.

Communicating:
in an open and professional manner within the households, with clients and their families, LBSA staff, support staff, other professionals, and members of support teams;
the Association's mission statement to the communities in which Laura Baker Services Association operates and encouraging others to do likewise;
an understanding of the basic LBSA philosophies and practices to all contacts, especially employees;
with various aspects of the Association, including the Director of Community Services;
information and support, and serving as resource to clients and staff;
to the Internal Review Committee as needed regarding the restrictions of rights.
Developing:
recommendations for programming, considering input from clients and staff;
and revising goals and behavior programs as needed, using a variety of teaching techniques, and incorporating the LBSA philosophy.
Monitoring
the accomplishment of outcomes for each client as specified in the Individual Program Plan, and taking actions necessary to facilitate the accomplishment of outcomes;
CSSP to ensure compliance with provider responsibilities.
Analyzing
incident reports (GERs) in a timely fashion, making note of patterns in behavior and recommending changes in individual programming, and/or other service delivery methods when needed;
▪ risk and writing Abuse Prevention Plans and service assessments in cooperation with Household Director
program data (daily logs, goal data, quarterly reports, and annual reports) in a timely manner, and making explicit and knowledgeable recommendations for programming changes, when needed.
Evaluating:
and providing input on staff evaluations and ongoing feedback to staff members;
compliance with licensing and regulatory standards;
programs and providing feedback to the appropriate program director;
and identifying general and specific staff training needs.

Instructing:
staff on a variety of topics, including but not limited to IPP implementation;
and attending staff meetings as needed.
Investigating
and receiving maltreatment reports as assigned by schedule or by the Program Director.
And other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Services.
.7 Decision-Making Responsibilities: The BA has the authority to make decisions based on the Levels of Decision-Making for Program Support Staff members.
.8 Knowledge, Education, and Experience: The BA must:
meet requirements for the position as specified in applicable regulations
demonstrate a working knowledge of applicable policies and regulations;
demonstrate a working knowledge of behavior support, assessment, teaching, and disability;
understand and accept people who are developmentally disabled as important individuals.
