Yard Laborer / Recycling Operations

Lautenbach Recycling is hiring a Yard Laborer to support daily operations at our Bakerview facility. This role focuses on hands-on yard work, material handling, and learning the overall flow of recycling operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into the recycling industry, learn the business from the ground up, and grow into equipment and operations roles over time.

Essential Functions

• Perform general yard labor including sorting, cleanup, and material handling
• Assist with moving, staging, and organizing recyclable materials
• Support material flow throughout the yard and processing areas
• Help stack and stage finished materials for shipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work alongside team members to support daily production needs
• Follow all safety procedures related to yard operations and equipment
• Assist operators and learn various aspects of recycling and processing over time

Required Qualifications

• Willingness to perform physical, hands-on work outdoors
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment
• Good awareness and attention to surroundings

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior labor, construction, warehouse, or yard experience
• Forklift experience or willingness to learn
• Interest in learning recycling operations and equipment

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Industrial recycling yard environment
• Exposure to outdoor weather, noise, dust, and moving equipment
• Standing, walking, climbing, and working on uneven surfaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $19 – $23/hour DOE to start
