About the Role
~1 min readThis is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a disability.
We have multiple permanent part-time positions available across Supported Living programs that support people with disabilities living in the Darwin community.
Working in a team, you will be actively supporting their individual complex needs by creating a safe environment and ensuring services are provided in a culturally appropriate way. To provide the best support, you will be an experienced Disability Support Worker with a range of experience across social support, behaviour support, personal care, complex health needs, manual handling and hoisting.
These roles will require successful applicants to be available and willing to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular active night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Responsibilities

- →Follow behaviour support plans
- →Promote client goals through enjoyable activities
- →Provide personal care
- →Ensure safe manual handling and hoisting
Requirements
~1 min read- Personal care experience
- Previous experience working with people with complex health needs
- Experience with behaviours of concern and following behaviour support plans
- Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate & CPR
- Sound understanding and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and issues affecting Aboriginal people.
