Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers for its client’s Children’s Services teams based in North East Derbyshire and Bolsover District. We currently have two full-time agency vacancies within the Clay Cross Team and Bolsover Team. These are excellent opportunities for motivated and skilled practitioners who are passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, and families through high-quality social work practice.
Working within supportive, established, and welcoming teams, you will play a key role in safeguarding children, supporting families, and delivering effective interventions that promote positive and sustainable outcomes.

~1 min readAs a Social Worker within Children’s Services, you will:
- →Undertake comprehensive assessments of need, risk, and protective factors.
- →Develop outcome-focused care and support plans in partnership with children, young people, families, and professionals.
- →Analyse complex information to support informed professional decision-making.
- →Maintain accurate, timely, and evidence-based case records.
- →Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns in line with legislation, policy, and local procedures.
- →Undertake child protection investigations and risk management activities where required.
- →Participate in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, core groups, and multi-agency forums.
- →Ensure the voice of the child remains central to all assessments, planning, and interventions.
- →Build effective professional relationships with children, young people, and families.
- →Provide support, challenge, advocacy, and interventions to improve outcomes.
- →Work collaboratively with education, health, police, housing, and voluntary sector partners.
- →Manage a caseload appropriate to experience and service requirements.
- →Monitor and review plans to ensure needs are met and outcomes are achieved.
- →Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, reviews, and professional meetings.
- →Attend legal planning meetings and court hearings where required.
- →Apply legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice principles to all areas of work.
- →Contribute to service improvement initiatives and promote excellent social work practice.
Requirements
~1 min readTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Degree in Social Work (BA, MA, DipSW, or equivalent)
- Post-qualified experience within Children’s Social Care
- Experience managing complex child and family caseloads
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and risk assessment skills
- Excellent assessment, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work effectively within multi-agency environments
- Sound professional judgement and decision-making abilities
