Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted‑rated, medium‑sized Independent Fostering Provider based in the North West. This well‑established organisation is a preferred provider for local authorities and is recognised by Ofsted for delivering highly effective services that significantly improve outcomes for children and young people. The provider operates a specialist therapeutic service, offering wrap‑around support including designated Supervising Social Workers trained in Therapeutic Parenting, access to Psychotherapists, a Therapeutic Life Story Worker and Foster Carer Champions, all focused on empowering carers to become trauma‑sensitive caregivers. What will your responsibilities be? 

In this role, you will:

  • Play a key role in helping vulnerable children and young people find a foster home that can transform their future.
  • Supervise and advise foster carers, ensuring both carers and children have the support they need to thrive.
  • Visit homes and keep in touch with both carers and young people, acting as an essential point of contact and safeguarding champion.
  • Collaborate with specialist clinical teams to identify and make available the right kinds of support, from occupational therapy to art therapy, and clinicians with specialism in trauma and attachment theory.
  • Manage lower caseloads to offer a more bespoke, person-centric focus and deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Ensure that children and young people are safe and secure, well looked after, and that high standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • A BA or MA degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Registration with the appropriate body (Social Work England).
  • A full driving licence.
  • Previous social work experience, with a record of working with young people who have a history of trauma and enhanced needs.
  • A confident, imaginative, energetic, and open-minded approach.
  • The right to work in the UK.
