About the Role:
As an SDE-1 (Backend), you will work on solving real-world scale and performance challenges across routing, dispatch, visibility, and logistics automation systems used globally by leading enterprises.
You will collaborate with experienced engineers and product teams to design and build scalable backend systems, contribute to core platform services, and help improve the reliability and performance of our products. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-scale distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and backend services that power millions of logistics decisions.
Responsibilities:
Code, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with strong engineering fundamentals.
Contribute to improving backend stability, scalability, and performance.
Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to build impactful product features.
Debug production issues and participate in improving system reliability.
Optimize database queries and backend workflows for performance and scalability.
Actively contribute to reducing technical debt and improving engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem solving.
Learn and contribute to distributed systems and cloud-native backend architectures.
Must Haves:
1–3 years of experience in a product-based company.
Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Hands-on experience in backend development using any programming language (Java preferred, but not mandatory).
Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
Good understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar.
Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Understanding of scalable systems, distributed architectures, and performance optimization concepts.
Familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn fast in a high-ownership environment.
