Job Summary: The Radiologic Assistant-Unlicensed works under direct supervision of a Radiologic Technologist. Assists with administrating Roentgen rays to patients following prescribed protocols. Assists with operating all equipment in Diagnostic Radiology and ancillary devices. Prepares the patients, equipment, and supplies prior to exams. Performs other duties as needed

Education and Experience: Completed one year of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program required.

Knowledge and Skills: Has the ability to operate all appropriate radiology equipment under direct supervision of a Radiologic Technologist. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to communicate effectively about complex matters with others. Analyze and interpret patient clinical data, follow simple instructions, recognize and appropriately report safety problems. Communicate effectively in English, in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail. Ability to hear on the telephone/in person/in the environment, ability to smell chemicals or changes in the environment (i.e. smoke) visualized and hear equipment and hear equipment indicator. Ability to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, records, and written documents necessary to the position; discern temperature variances through touch.

Licensures and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
