Duties and responsibilities:
1. Assist in organizing and promoting international events, such as cultural exchange programs, short-term programs, guest lectures, international and domestic competitions and workshops, and international fairs.
2. Support the coordination of incoming and outgoing student exchange programs.
3. Help prepare and update informational materials (brochures, presentations, digital content).
4. Maintain accurate records and assist with data entry and filing.
5. Communicate with international students, partner institutions, and internal departments as needed.
6. Perform general office duties, including answering inquiries via phone and email and managing appointments.
7. Conduct research on global education trends, scholarships, or potential partner institutions.
Desired qualifications:
a. Strong Communication Skills - Advanced written and verbal skills in English and Korean is preferred (additional languages are a plus).
b. Organizational & Administrative Skills - Experience with filing systems, appointment scheduling, and office duties.
c. Intercultural Awareness - Interest and ability to interact with to different cultures and global education systems.
d. Digital & Design Skills - Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, Canva, Adobe Suite (Familiarity with basic graphic design tools is a plus)
e. Research Skills - Ability to conduct online research, contributing to promotional materials
Work Hours per student:
Up to 40 hrs/week during the break.
Up to 15 hrs/week during the semester.

Students must meet the following requirements:
1) Must have completed at least one semester at Mason Korea and have an official GPA record.
2) Be in good academic standing (Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher; or as required by the office).
3) Have enrolled as student in current semester at least 6 credits. When working during the break, have completed enrollment in the upcoming semester.
A note on break housing:
•If applicable, selected work study students may apply for break IGC housing starting from May 12, 10am.
•UL does not guarantee housing during the summer & winter breaks for the work & study program students who apply for the housing.
•Work & Study students can reach out to UL Housing Staff or IGC housing office directly if they would like to receive more information about break housing.
•The break housing is usually offered on a first-come, first served bases. Please note that the housing office cannot guarantee availability if all rooms are already occupied.
•Work & Student students will follow the same procedure as other students (application period, payment deadline, etc.) if they are planning to apply for break housing at IGC.
