OtherBackend EngineeringIntegration Engineer

We are looking for an Integration Engineer to join one of our teams working with US clients - referrals from the high-end American IT market.

You will be working on a project with a US-based company building a revenue management platform for the hospitality industry that automates pricing decisions, inventory optimization, and demand forecasting for thousands of hotels worldwide. Our tech stack is built around Python, AWS, and modern data integration patterns. We work with well-established companies and sometimes startups in their early stages (MVPs), which makes the job full of diversity and exciting challenges while crafting cutting-edge solutions.

Enjoy the flexibility of working within the Polish time zone and collaborate with clients from the high-end IT world.

Salary: PLN 10.000 - 16.000 + VAT (B2B)
  • Requirements: 3+ years of commercial experience in Data/Systems/Integration/Platform Engineering, strong Python skills, experience with ETL pipelines and API integrations, hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, Batch, DynamoDB, CloudWatch), practical knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, XML/JSON parsing, understanding of Infrastructure as Code basics (AWS CDK or Terraform), English B2, Polish C1
  • Offer: B2B, days off, 100% remote (or hybrid/onsite - as you prefer), Polish time zone, flexible hours, full-time position, Scrum Teams, 3-6 months contract with possibility of extension
  • Perks and Benefits: Budgets for self-development, team-building activities, healthcare & sport benefits, mentoring program, growth opportunities, and more
  • Tools you'll use: Apple MacBook Pro, Slack, GSuite, GitHub, Jira, Coda, FigJam
    • Onboarding new hotel clients onto the project's platform by integrating their Property Management Systems with the pricing platform
    • Building and maintaining integration pipelines between hotel systems and the client platform using webhooks, batch file processing, and scheduled API polling
    • Analyzing external technical documentation and understanding integration requirements for different PMS providers
    • Mapping external data models into internal platform structures in a reliable and scalable way
    • Developing and maintaining Python-based ETL processes for backend integrations
    • Working with AWS services to support and extend the integration architecture
    • Improving existing integrations by strengthening error handling, observability, and configuration standards
    • Troubleshooting integration issues and making sure data flows work reliably in production
    • Contributing to a growing integration codebase with a focus on maintainability and future extensibility
  • 3+ years of commercial experience in a Data / Systems / Integration / Platform Engineering role
  • Strong experience with Python, especially in ETL pipelines, API clients, and XML / JSON parsing
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Batch, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
  • Practical experience with REST API integrations and webhook handling
  • Experience working with file-based integrations, including batch file processing workflows
  • Basics of IaC - preferably AWS CDK or Terraform
  • Experience working on backend-oriented integrations rather than large-scale analytical data platforms
  • Open to applying innovations like Generative AI or AI-assisted development in daily work
  • English level B2 to cooperate with American clients
  • Polish level C1 to communicate easily within the team
  • Strong analytical thinking - ability to break down complex integration problems and messy external APIs into clean internal data models
  • Proactive communication - you flag blockers early, document decisions, and do not wait to be asked
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - existing codebase has tech debt, and you can navigate it without losing momentum
  • Ownership mindset - comfortable working end-to-end on integrations with minimal handholding
  • Experience working with SOAP, HTNG, or Parquet
  • Experience working with Apache Iceberg, DBT and Redshift
  • Familiarity with AWS Step Functions or the Serverless Framework
  • Familiarity with hospitality systems or hotel technology ecosystem
