Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this position exists is to manage the maintenance and repair of systems and equipment in County facilities. The work responsibilities are: troubleshoots and repairs systems and equipment; identifies and coordinates contract services; manages maintenance of grounds and grounds equipment; maintains security equipment and systems; manages housekeeping functions and maintains office areas; conducts fire safety inspections and maintains fire safety of facility; supervises employees; and performs administrative duties. Work is performed under the direction of the Juvenile Court Administrator and the County Administrator who evaluates performance based upon results achieved.\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. Four (4) years of experience in building maintenance or related building trades to include two (2) years of experience in commercial building maintenance or related areas, and one (1) year of supervisory experience.\r\n

Four (4) years of experience in building maintenance or related building trades to include two (2) years of experience in commercial building maintenance or related areas; and one (1) year of supervisory experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a valid Alabama driver’s license. Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed to complete projects. Ability to be on-call as needed to complete special or emergency projects. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. Must pass a drug test. Must submit to and pass a thorough background investigation.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
