Main Purpose of Job

This position and how it relates to the agency. The� Learning Producer is responsible for managing the technical components and delivery of instructor led training to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience by utilizing web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meets, etc. The incumbent will assist the facilitator with session moderation, provide immediate technical assistance to attendees, troubleshoot technical issues, set up break out rooms, polls, and screen shares. This position supports the Department of Human Services' mission by providing the technical infrastructure necessary to develop and update employee competencies across the agency.\r\n

POSITION DUTIES

\r\n Manages the delivery of instructor-led training programs to develop employee competencies consistent with identified training needs and DHS’s strategic training goals. Training will be delivered utilizing web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meets, etc. on a regular and ongoing basis.�\r\n Prepare for training delivery by reviewing materials, attending rehearsals, and confirming technical configurations while conducting pre-session technical checks with facilitators to mitigate issues to ensure uninterrupted delivery of training.�\r\n Provides comprehensive technical production support and troubleshooting for training sessions by monitoring platform performance and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for all participants to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of instructional content.\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\nExperience: Six months of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.\r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\nOne year of experience performing clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.\r\nOne year of relevant experience including experience with virtual meeting platforms�such as Zoom and Google Meet.\r\n\r\nOne year of professional work experience working with Google Suite and/or Microsoft�Office Suite, including PowerPoint or Google Slides.\r\n\r\n\r\nOne year experience communicating with and assisting webinar or virtual classroom�participants.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits. Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r\n
