POSITION DUTIES

The Comptroller of Maryland, Revenue Administration Division is seeking Tax Season employees to perform Data Verification, Data Entry, Mail opening, Prep functions, Scanning, Clerical duties and other related tasks. Scanning position requires constant standing and movement. The areas assigned are subject to change based on Division needs. Training will be provided. These positions will be available during Tax Filing Season.�Must be able to work in the Annapolis office Monday-Friday in a full-time capacity.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSalary: $16.00 per hour\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at�http://www.naces.org/members.html.\r\n

SELECTION PROCESS

Disqualifying charges may include any felony; any crime of moral turpitude, e.g. embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion or bribery; any crime of identity theft or impersonation; any crime of assault or battery; and any crime relating to the use or distribution of a controlled dangerous substance other than marijuana, regardless of the age of the offense or the specifications of the position.\r\n\r\n\r\nDue to the nature of the agency's business, candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment.�\r\n\r\n\r\n*Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.\r\n

BENEFITS

Leave may be granted to a temporary employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r\n
