Milestone is currently seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for leading civil construction projects from planning through completion, including managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, safety, and overall project execution. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven civil construction experience and a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Management:
- Drive project profitability and ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Oversee and manage project forecasting, including resource requirements and financial outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of invoice requests and maintain financial accuracy across all project aspects.
- Develop and maintain transparent project schedules that reflect the critical path and work flow to protect profit margins.
Project Operations:
- Manage the entire project lifecycle to ensure completion on time and within budget, in line with client specifications.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Lead and support project teams, ensuring they have the resources and direction needed to meet project objectives.
- Oversee procurement and subcontract processes, and manage deadlines to ensure consistent work flow for construction crews.
- Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout project execution.
Contract and Client Management:
- Manage change orders and upsell opportunities, presenting them to clients effectively.
- Maintain regular communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors, addressing concerns and managing expectations.
- Handle change order management and dispute resolution, working closely with the construction manager to ensure smooth project execution.
Project Team Management:
- Collaborate with Regional Project Managers to refine and improve project operations processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project coordinators and supervisors, helping them excel in their roles.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support continued business success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in civil construction with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil construction, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, including site development, infrastructure, and heavy civil work.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in project forecasting and budget management.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and driven, with excellent leadership abilities and the capability to manage and motivate project teams.
- Strong communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
- Skills in managing negotiations and resolving conflicts are crucial for maintaining project progress and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong time management and organization with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations and Quality Standards and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality on all projects.

- Experience in estimating projects valued between $1-$5 million.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate is an asset.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset.
