As we expand into the East Kootenay region, we are looking for experienced Pipelayers who want to help build something meaningful and long-term alongside a growing, values-driven company.

Milestone Contracting is establishing a long-term presence in the East Kootenay region and is seeking skilled Civil Pipelayers to join our growing team.

This role is based out of Cranbrook, BC, with projects located throughout the Kootenays. Travel between projects may be required and will be compensated.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Pipelayer, you will support the installation of underground utilities and infrastructure on a variety of civil construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Installation of storm, sewer, and water infrastructure
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and grade information
• Working closely with Operators and Foremen during utility installation
• Assisting with trench preparation, pipe alignment, and utility connections
• Maintaining quality standards and safe work practices
• Supporting efficient project execution and production goals
• Assisting with site organization and general labour activities as needed
• Contributing to a strong, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

• Experience in underground utility installation
• Understanding of civil construction practices and safety requirements
• Ability to work effectively within a crew environment
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Accountability, professionalism, and reliability
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments

Experience with the following is considered an asset:

• Storm, sewer, and watermain installation
• Grade checking and laser use
• Reading civil drawings
• Municipal infrastructure projects

Local East Kootenay experience and knowledge are considered strong assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years civil pipelaying experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License considered an asset
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong understanding of construction site safety
• Safety certifications considered an asset
