As we expand into the East Kootenay region, we are looking for experienced Operators who want to help build something meaningful and long-term alongside a growing, values-driven company.

Milestone Contracting is establishing a long-term presence in the East Kootenay region and is seeking skilled Civil Operators to join our growing team.

This role is based out of Cranbrook, BC, with projects located throughout the Kootenays. Travel between projects may be required and will be compensated.

We are looking for operators who take pride in their work, work well with crews, prioritize safety, and are willing to contribute both in and out of equipment when required.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Operator, you will support a variety of civil construction projects including underground utilities, grading, earthworks, roadworks, and municipal infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment
• Supporting site crews with day-to-day production activities
• Working collaboratively with Foremen, Superintendents, and labour crews
• Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Maintaining production targets while ensuring quality workmanship
• Supporting safe work practices and company safety standards
• Assisting with site organization and material handling as required
• Contributing to a strong, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

Experience operating the following equipment is considered an asset:

• Excavators
• Skid steers
• Loaders
• Packers
• Dozers
• Graders

Local East Kootenay experience and knowledge are considered strong assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction preferred
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments
• Strong understanding of construction site safety
• Safety certifications considered an asset
