Due to the ongoing growth of activity in the area of new projects, we are currently looking to add a Tooling Engineer to our Global New Programmes Team. The Tooling Engineer will work closely with our prestigious customers such as Tesla, Toyota, Xerox and JLR to design and develop moulds for products of the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of design for manufacture or part feasibility reports for customer feedback and agreement of part design with customer
- Selection of tooling vendors for projects
- Agreement of mould design with internal cross functional team
- Review and approval of mould and tooling CAD to optimise manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Overall management of the performance of all tooling suppliers and reporting on project status at progress reviews internally and with customer.
- Selection and development of new tooling vendors.
- Co-ordination of all trials at supplier site and in house as relevant and sign off on moulds.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A portfolio of previous work as a Tooling Engineer
- Experience with CAD and AutoCAD software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- A good eye for detail and design
- Leadership and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and in a team
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
