In this role as a Senior Engineer on our global automation and material handling systems team, you will drive world-class engineering efforts. You will invent innovative solutions that elevate our manufacturing capabilities. This position uniquely allows you to influence and develop the future of Micron’s automation and material handling systems, guaranteeing detailed execution and outstanding performance. ## Global AMHS Operations Support * Serve as the worldwide lead for resolving critical issues and providing technical support related to AMHS operational matters across manufacturing locations. * Provide technical leadership for resolving critical AMHS and N2/XCDA system problems across manufacturing locations. * Collaborate with site teams for immediate issue resolution and partner concern handling. * Drive root cause analysis for high-impact or recurring events, ensuring balanced corrective actions. * Develop and standardize best-known methods (BKMs), recovery playbooks, and operational response strategies. ## N2/XCDA Purge System Ownership * Serve as domain expert for carrier purge system performance and operability. * Optimize purge cycle efficiency, N2/XCDA consumption, and system reliability and uptime. * Ensure effective integration with stocker systems and AMHS scheduling logic. * Support contamination control requirements while maintaining delivery performance. ## Wafer Logistics Flow Ownership * Analyze Fab offload, Probe wafer shipment, and wafer logistics performance data to identify improvement opportunities. * Drive improvements in efficiency, overall equipment efficiency (OEE), reliability, and cost through data-driven analysis and system-level optimization. * Support system build reviews, upgrades, and modification projects. ## Sophisticated & Emerging Automation * Lead evaluation and deployment of next-generation automation technologies, including equipment like N2/XCDA carrier purge systems, Auto FOSB/HWS/BHWS/Hybox Packer/Unpacker wafer logistics automation solutions. * Ensure new technologies transition efficiently into stable production operations. ## Global Collaboration & Influence * Collaborate across engineering, operations, construction, IT, EHS, procurement, and suppliers across regions. * Influence site leadership decisions through clear, data-backed technical recommendations. * Mentor and develop engineers globally, raising technical depth and operational maturity across the network. ## Supplier & Program Leadership * Own technical engagement with global AMHS and automation suppliers, spanning build, operations support, and roadmap alignment. * Support capital planning, technical scope definition, and major automation programs. * Ensure supplier solutions meet Micron requirements for operability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
