Mikisew Group LP, a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant. The position is based out of the Enoch Capital Region.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of intermediate accounting functions effectively within a teamwork environment which places a premium on the ability to adjust to changing priorities, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliations
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies and address concerns
- Prepare and analyze month-end financial reports
- Create journal entries for AR accruals with supporting documentation
- Conduct project reporting and ratio analysis
- Provide AR and KPI reporting insights
- Review and approve AR invoices for accuracy
- Oversee AR cash application and collections processes
- Prepare and review rate builds
- Manage SAP work type setups and updates
- Participate in financial and vendor audits
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
- Communicate with site management and administrative teams
- Deliver ad-hoc reporting and support on special projects
- Other duties as assigned and as may be amended from time to time to meet company/organizational objectives.

Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Experience in the oil and gas or construction industry is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP B1)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- CPA designation in progress is preferred
