Job Snapshot

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager (7–11 years of experience) to lead, scale, and inspire high-performing engineering teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of mission-critical products while fostering a culture of technical excellence and high-agency performance.

This is a core engineering leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical strategy and operational execution. While you will lead a broad range of engineering initiatives, you will also oversee key AI-integrated projects, requiring a solid understanding of how to manage the unique lifecycles of AI-based features. Furthermore, you will be expected to champion AI-powered optimization of our internal engineering processes to drive team velocity.

You will partner directly with Product and Program management to identify risks and define the future, but your primary mission is to be a performance multiplier—ensuring your team has the clarity, energy, and technical standards to win.

Tech stack you will get exposure to: GoLang, Java, Python, NodeJS, Serverless Technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions), Kafka.

Execution & Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of mission-critical products, ensuring team commitments are met with high velocity and quality.

Strategic Alignment: Partner with Product and Business to define roadmaps and translate customer needs, including AI-integrated features, into actionable engineering plans.

High-Performance Leadership: Hire, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of high agency, growth, and collective success.

Technical Stewardship: Collaborate with Tech Leads and Architects to solve complex problems, influence design discussions, and drive long-term architectural planning.

Data & Innovation: Develop robust strategies for effective data engineering and scalable system design to support both core features and AI initiatives.

Operational Excellence: Drive engineering best practices, ensuring technical debt is managed and systems are built for long-term reliability.

Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and implement AI-powered tools (e.g., LLM-based coding assistants, automated documentation etc.) to streamline internal workflows and boost team productivity.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

7-11 years of experience in software engineering.

2-4 years of experience in leading engineering teams.

Strong experience in Agile software development processes such as Scrum and Kanban.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build strong relationships with people and drive them towards a common goal.

Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.

Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement of systems, software, and processes through data analysis and metrics.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Golang / Java / Python / Node.js, SQL, and Kafka.

Solid understanding of Event First/Microservices/Serverless Architecture, Schema Evolution.

Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and techniques.

Experience with setting up/tracking key engineering metrics and summarising them for executive decision-making.
