About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Incentives Planning Analyst to support the administration, analysis, and reporting of APR and Lease incentive programs. This role plays an important part in helping the organization maintain competitive financing and lease offers while supporting budget objectives and operational accuracy.

The Incentives Planning Analyst will work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and captive finance partners to support incentive program execution, monitor program performance, validate financial data, and provide analytical insights. This position is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow their expertise in financial analysis, automotive incentives, and business operations.

The Incentives Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the monthly incentive process through data analysis, reporting, validation, and financial tracking activities. The role assists with APR and Lease offer development, expense monitoring, accrual preparation, competitive research, and program administration.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across departments.

Incentive Program Support

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of APR and Lease rate and residual value worksheets.
  • Support the development and delivery of incentive information to captive finance partners.
  • Review and validate incentive program information to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate offer disclaimers and information within website offer management tools.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor incentive program expenses and identify trends or variances from budget expectations.
  • Support month-end accrual calculations and related reporting activities.
  • Assist with preparation of journal entry support and account reconciliations.
  • Review and validate billing files received from captive finance partners.
  • Help investigate and explain drivers of actual versus budget variances.

Market Research & Analytics

  • Conduct research on competitor incentive offers, financing programs, and market trends.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize data to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating the competitiveness and effectiveness of incentive programs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management review.

Team & Project Support

  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and external business partners.
  • Assist with incentive program audits, validations, and quality checks.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
  • Support the incentives team with ongoing operational and analytical activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

First 90 Days – Getting Up To Speed

  • Develop a solid understanding of the company's incentive programs, APR and Lease offer structures, monthly processes, systems, and key business partners.
  • Learn how rates, residuals, and program assumptions impact incentive costs, budgeting, and overall program performance.
  • Support recurring reporting, billing validations, expense tracking, and month-end accrual activities.
  • Independently manage routine monthly files, reporting, and validation processes with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to competitor research and market analyses to support incentive program decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and captive finance partners.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability in delivering recurring incentive and financial reporting requirements.
  • Begin providing insights and recommendations based on program performance, market trends, and business needs.

Year 1 Victory Lap

  • Developed a strong understanding of incentive programs, financial processes, and the competitive landscape.
  • Consistently delivered accurate APR and Lease analyses, reporting, and month-end accrual support.
  • Become a trusted resource for incentive program administration, validation, and business reporting.
  • Provided valuable market insights and recommendations to support incentive decision-making.
  • Built strong cross-functional partnerships and contributed to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, incentive analysis, pricing, budgeting, accounting, or related analytical functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, including OEM, captive finance, dealership, or related environments.
  • Knowledge of vehicle financing, leasing, consumer lending, or banking operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • SQL knowledge and experience querying, analyzing, and validating data from large datasets.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, accrual accounting, or financial reporting processes.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable business insights.

The base salary for this position ranges between $60,000 to $70,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, we are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for all eligible employees which also includes 401k with company match, Mitsubishi Lease Program, and a full range of medical, financial, and other perks and benefits.
