We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Junior Superintendent Engineer to join our Technical team. In this role, you will support the management of the technical performance of assigned vessels, assisting in maintaining high standards in maintenance, repairs, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Reporting directly to the Technical Senior Manager, key accountabilities include:
- Assist the Superintendent Engineers in the execution of their daily technical and operational duties.
- Support the site team during newbuilding projects in China, participating in the construction supervision of dual-fuel LNG car carriers, including involvement in hull, coating/painting, and machinery inspections.
- Participate in the preparation and attendance of vessel dry-dockings and repair works, providing technical and administrative support to the Superintendent Engineer.
- Execute assigned technical projects under the supervision and guidance of the Technical Manager.
- Monitor and follow up on the computerized Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and Purchasing System, ensuring accurate reporting of completed works, proper follow-up of outstanding items, and timely processing and execution of requisitions.
Required Qualifications:
- You have 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in ship management companies with Liner and/or Dry Bulk.
- You have earned your University Degree in BSc degree in Mechanical or Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- You have the ability to travel abroad
- You have the willingness to spend at least 1 year in China attending our newbuilding project
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Greek and English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) ERP system is considered an asset.
