The role reports to the Director of Manufacturing Operations and is responsible for developing, researching, and leading special projects and product protection programs for the Salt Lake City Manufacturing team. The position is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the site programs for FOD/FOE, ESD, and 6S lean methodology. The position represents manufacturing as a primary technical contact for product protection programs and interacts with senior leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Cross-functional indirect leadership for developing and implementing projects in support of products and manufacturing processes.

Performing risk assessments and providing recommendations.

Leading continuous improvement projects.

Documentation of Standard Shop Practices, Policies and Procedures.

Supporting audits.

Research and procurement of supplies and equipment to support the ESD and FOD programs.
Requirements

Understanding of electro-static principles and electro-static sensitive devices.
Knowledge or experience working in a facility with FOD Critical protocol.
Knowledge and/or experience of 6S lean methodology principles.
Knowledge and experience with AS9100 certification requirements.
Cross-functional project management experience.
US Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
Knowledge and experience with circuit card manufacturing, fiber optics, and inertial instruments.
Product protection experience with such variables as moisture, corrosive chemicals, temperature variations, light, heat, rough handling, and tampering.

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
