In this role as a Specialist Automation Engineer (QA), you will operate as a key individual contributor supporting the quality engineering needs of Actimize Platform Solution Products. You will apply deep functional testing expertise, advanced automation engineering skills, and experience working with cloud‑native and distributed systems to ensure high‑quality, scalable, and resilient SaaS components used by global financial institutions.
You will participate in requirement reviews, grooming, sprint planning, and design discussions to influence testability and automation feasibility. You will maintain and even advance automation frameworks, strengthen test coverage across UI, API, microservices, and cloud workflows, and contribute to performance and stability validations. You will collaborate with Product, Development, and Architecture teams to streamline QA practices, support CI/CD integration, and ensure predictable, high‑quality releases across the platform.

This new SaaS platform enables our customers — some of the world’s largest financial institutions — to build solutions that fight financial crime. As a Specialist Automation Engineer, you will:
- Bring 8+ years of hands‑on IT experience in functional testing, automation development, and quality engineering within product‑based or SaaS environments.
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor in QA and automation while remaining an individual contributor.
• Provide best‑practice guidance on automation architecture, code quality, and framework optimization.
• Uplift quality processes through deep domain knowledge and analytical problem‑solving.
- Maintain and even advance automation frameworks supporting functional, regression, API, and microservices testing.
• Work with Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related automation tooling.
• Improve automation architecture, reliability, and CI/CD integration for fast, stable execution cycles.
• Expand automation coverage across UI, backend, microservices, and cloud‑native components of Actimize Platform Solution Products.
- Implement and maintain performance testing frameworks using tools such as JMeter.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
• Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure performance readiness for scaled cloud‑native environments.
- Develop test strategies for applications deployed in Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice‑based environments.
• Validate cloud‑native workflows, observability, scaling, and behavior across AWS.
• Ensure robust testing approaches for distributed, multi‑tenant SaaS systems.
- Contribute to team‑wide and department‑level QA metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Identify and drive improvements in processes, automation pipelines, and test execution efficiency.
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in manual and automation testing within product‑based organizations.
• Strong expertise in Java, TestNG, Selenium, and sound understanding of Playwright.
• Experience designing and enhancing automation frameworks for maintainability and scalability.
• Proficiency in relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and VueJS for frontend validation.
• Strong experience in API testing using tools like Postman and SOAP UI, and validating RESTful and SOAP interfaces.
• Experience working with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory, and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Experience with Actimize ActOne Platform or other AML/financial crime systems; prior experience in FinTech environments.
- Ability to use AI tools to generate:
– Test cases
– Edge & negative scenarios
– Test data sets
• Experience validating and refining AI‑generated test artifacts.
