LEAF River Energy Center (LREC), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Operations Technology SCADA Manager to provide strategic leadership, governance, and technical oversight for the LREC SCADA and industrial automation environments. This role oversees critical operational technology systems and ensures their reliability, security and performance in support of safe and efficient security, and performance in support of safe and efficient natural gas pipeline and storage operations.   Major Responsibilities•    Leads the strategy, architecture, lifecycle management, and governance of SCADA, industrial control, automation, historian, alarm management, and OT infrastructure platforms supporting LREC operations.•    Directs the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of SCADA and control system solutions, including programming, communications, data acquisition, HMI development, alarm management, historian integration, reporting, and visualization tools.•    Serves as the senior technical authority for SCADA and OT systems, providing guidance and escalation support to operations, engineering, maintenance, measurement, cybersecurity, and IT teams.•    Develops and maintains technology standards, roadmaps, operating procedures, and technical requirements that support system reliability, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and business objectives.•    Oversees the performance, maintenance, upgrades, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and obsolescence management of SCADA applications, servers, networks, communications systems, and field automation devices.•    Ensures PLCs, RTUs, flow computers, instrumentation, communications, and network infrastructure are configured, validated, and maintained in accordance with company standards, operational requirements, and cybersecurity controls.•    Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex SCADA, automation, network, server, database, and field device issues to maximize system availability and operational continuity.•    Partners with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement secure OT architectures, manage vulnerabilities, strengthen access controls, and support regulatory and industry cybersecurity requirements.•    Manages SCADA disaster recovery, business continuity, failover, and restoration capabilities, including testing and continuous improvement activities.•    Supports new projects and operational initiatives by translating business and operational requirements into scalable and reliable SCADA and automation solutions.•    Maintains system documentation, network diagrams, technical specifications, procedures, test plans, and user guides.•    Coordinates with technology vendors and service providers to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and support ongoing system improvements.•    Monitors system performance, supports change management processes, and promotes continuous improvement of SCADA capabilities and operational technology services. Position Requirements:•    Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience.•    10+ years of experience supporting SCADA, industrial control systems, automation, instrumentation, or related OT environments. •    Extensive experience with SCADA platforms, PLCs, RTUs, flow computers, and industrial communications protocols, including Modbus, OPC, and CIP •    Experience troubleshooting complex network, communications, and control system issues. •    Experience working with vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams. •    Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, AVEVA/Wonderware, Ignition, OSIsoft PI, and related industrial automation platforms Preferred.•    Experience configuring RTU and PLC devices, including Thermo Fisher and Allen-Bradley systems preferred.•    Experience with Microsoft Visio and technical documentation development preferred.•    Strong knowledge of OT networking, cybersecurity principles, and remote access technologies.•    Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively through written documentation and verbal presentations.•    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex technical problems in a critical operations environment.•    Knowledge of server virtualization technologies is preferred.* The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary. Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $111,000- $150,000.Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program. Among other things, employees in this position are subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing. The use of marijuana, or testing positive for marijuana, is disqualifying and will lead to removal from performing safety-sensitive functions as well as disciplinary action.
