Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Our Rwanda program, founded in 2007 is our largest and operates under the local brand Tubura. We have more than 3,000 staff across all four provinces of Rwanda, as well as in Kigali. Together, we served more than 2.8 million farmers in 2024. We work closely with the government to support national efforts to improve food security. Additionally, we help channel funding and resources to promising agri-SMEs, supporting farmers by providing a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chili.
About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a detail-oriented and coachable junior professional to join data systems for our Forest Landscape Restoration program. The FLR Data Coordinator will support survey design, data quality assurance, and analysis that improve program decisions.
Responsibilities
~1 min readSurvey Design and Data Collection
- →Support the design, testing, and deployment of survey tools; collaborate with program and field teams to ensure they are practical and clear; assist in training field teams on data collection protocols; and coordinate timelines while following up to ensure timely data collection.
Data Quality Assurance and Management
- →Clean, validate, and check data quality, resolve issues with field teams, and maintain organized datasets while improving systems.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- →Analyze data, generate insights, prepare reports, share findings, and support data-driven decision-making.
Coordination and Communication
- →Link field and office teams on data matters, Track data follow-ups and corrections and Ensure alignment and maintain documentation

Requirements

- Experience using survey tools for data collection
- Bachelors degree in statistics, IT or any related field
- Experience working with field-based teams or in rural settings
- Basic skills in data analysis and reporting
- Exposure to qualitative data methods such us focus groups, interviews
- Background in agriculture, forestry, or rural development
- Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing is an advantage
