The HVAC Group Leader assists a team of HVAC Mechanics, ensuring the successful completion of HVAC projects, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. The leader coordinates day-to-day operations (such as, but not limited to HVAC/AHU, Dust Collectors, Kathabar Systems, Dehumidifiers, Humidifiers Vacuum system, Differential Pressure Monitoring System, BMS, Chillers/Multistacks, Refrigerators/Freezers, Stability Chambers, Heat Exchangers, Pumps), prioritizes work, and ensures compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations. They provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to the team while maintaining high levels of SOP and cGMP standards.

  • Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments. Escalate any issue with inefficiency and utility operation to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution. Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Operates and maintains all HVAC and related equipment based on OEM requirements. Plans and performs preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance. Performs routine inspections to determine and perform necessary repair maintenance work to prevent breakdown of utilities and associated equipment.
  • Performs routine inspection of the utility equipment area to ensure that the area is clean and tidy, all logbooks are maintained daily in accordance with the SOP and GMP procedures, and all ancillary equipment is maintained in operational and calibrated state. Review all alarms and alerts pertaining to the systems and resolve promptly.
  • Creates and maintains a spare parts list, and refrigerant tracker, works with maintenance supervisors to plan work priorities and maintain inventory. Maintains a list of materials for breakdown maintenance, obtains necessary supplies, and assesses skills needed to complete tasks.
  • Coordinates with service providers to schedule maintenance activity, reviews services as performed, keeps track records of all service reports, and takes necessary action for rectification. Ensures periodic inspections are scheduled and passed in coordination with GMP guidelines.
  • Review and Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.

  • 4 years or more in Facility Maintenance. Experience in a pharmaceutical , production and /or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment. - Intermediate
  • Able to observe, record, and report unsafe working conditions - Intermediate
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and schematics as they relate to building and utilities services systems. - Intermediate
  • Able to follow orders and complete work assignments with a minimum of supervision. - Intermediate
  • Apply methods, practices, and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, renovation, and minor construction of buildings and utilities. - Intermediate

 

Additional Requirement: This position requires successful completion of an OSHA-compliant Respirator Fit Test.
