Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures accurately and efficiently.
- →Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling and documentation.
- →Process, prepare, and transport laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
- →Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent customer service during specimen collection.
- →Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
- →Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory levels.
- →Record patient information and collection details accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- →Assist with point-of-care testing and other laboratory-related duties as assigned.
- →Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support quality patient care.
Requirements
~1 min read- At least 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical, laboratory, or healthcare setting.
- Phlebotomy certification required (CPT, PBT, or equivalent preferred).
- At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
- Strong knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and processing procedures.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and patient care skills.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
