ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, sort, review, and process invoices from vendors promptly.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and other supporting documentation to verify accuracy.
  • Ensure correct coding and obtain appropriate approvals before entering processing the invoice.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and inquiries.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies or outstanding balances before processing the cheques.
  • Process cheque runs, electronic payments, wire transfers accurately on schedule before due dates.
  • Review cheques for accuracy and completeness before presenting them for management approval.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and payment transactions.
  • Timely reconciliation of parts statements.
  • Contribute to a strong relationship through positive interactions with Business Unit
  • Responsibilities also include (but are not limited to) analyzing trends, costs.
  • Responsible of reconciling schedules by communicating with business units
  • Collect payments from customers for their dues.
  • Monthly Journal entry postings and Month-end tasks.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Familiarity and experience with CDK is a plus
  • Previous accounting experience is an asset
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate+ Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Works well to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and display an exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work in a team environment
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
