Orange Sky exists to support Australians who are facing challenges in their lives, including homelessness, financial hardship, limited access to laundry facilities or temporary displacement due to a natural disaster. We are committed to being there when it’s needed most, offering free laundry services, warm showers and friendly chats with our volunteers.
The Role
The role of an Orange Sky Director is to provide strategic leadership and direction, to monitor financial performance and oversee the Chief Executive Officer. Directors must fulfil their corporate governance and fiduciary obligations and responsibilities with care and due diligence to the best of their abilities to ensure the long-term sustainability of Orange Sky. Directors act in a volunteer capacity.
Time Commitment
- 1 meeting every 2 months + ad hoc meetings and events
- 1-2 hours of prep per meeting
- Attend an Orange Sky shift each quarter (location dependent)
- Annual trip to visit shifts outside of SEQ
- 3 year term with potential to extend
About You
