Osmind is the leading platform purpose-built for interventional psychiatry practices — the clinicians who deliver TMS, Spravato, ketamine, and other advanced treatments to patients who haven't found relief through traditional care. We power the operations of 1,000+ practices nationally, and we're growing fast.
Revenue Cycle Management is one of our fastest-growing service lines. We help practices get paid correctly, on time, for some of the most complex billing scenarios in behavioral health. We're building a modern, technology-forward RCM operation — and we need a supervisor who can lead the team doing the work.
The RCM Supervisor is a working, player-coach leader responsible for the day-to-day performance, development, and quality output of our Benefit Verification & Prior Authorization Specialists and our Accounts Receivable Specialists. This is a hands-on role: you'll spend meaningful time in the work itself — running BVs, pushing tough prior authorizations across the finish line, chasing complex AR, and modeling what great looks like for the team.
You'll report to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management and partner closely with our RCM Account Managers, our customers, and cross-functional leadership.
You'll coach, mentor, and develop your team through structured 1-1s, live QA, clear standards, and fair, consistent feedback — and you'll stay close enough to the work to jump in when escalations require it, or to represent Osmind on the occasional customer call when your expertise is needed.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead your team as a working supervisor. Run regular team huddles, weekly 1-1s, performance conversations, and the coaching rhythm that turns specialists into experts — while rolling up your sleeves and doing the work alongside them when the situation calls for it.
- →Be an expert in the craft. You are deeply skilled in benefit verification, prior authorization, and AR follow-up — especially the complex cases. You can personally work a gnarly denial, push through a stuck Spravato PA, or verify benefits for a tricky commercial plan, and you can teach others to do the same.
- →Set and uphold the bar. Define quality and productivity standards for BV, PA, and AR. Give clear, timely feedback. Help every team member understand what great looks like and how to get there.
- →Develop the team. Identify strengths, address growth areas, and build individualized development plans. Partner with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and ramp when the team grows.
- →Support the reporting process. You won't build the reporting strategy from scratch — that's set with leadership — but you'll play a key role in making sure customers receive the reports they need on time, understand what they're seeing, and get thoughtful answers to any questions.
- →Partner with customers when needed. Occasionally join calls with RCM Account Managers to answer complex billing questions or support escalated issues. Not your primary role, but a meaningful part of it.
- →Build and improve process. Write and maintain SOPs, payer-specific playbooks, and appeal templates. Identify bottlenecks and redesign workflows — including through AI tooling.
- →Lead AI adoption on the team. You and your team will use Claude, Gemini, and other modern AI tools in daily work. You'll bring use cases and help the team adopt them.
- A deep expert in BV, PA, and AR follow-up. These are your craft. You've personally worked complex commercial benefit verifications, pushed tough prior authorizations to approval, and chased aged AR through appeals and payer escalations. You can teach any part of this work to a newer specialist and spot quality issues on sight.
- An experienced supervisor of remote teams. You've directly managed remote or offshore specialists — not just coordinated through a vendor. You know how to coach across distance, time zones, and cultural context.
- A working leader, not a desk leader. You don't need to be told to get involved in the work. You lead from inside it.
- Metrics-fluent. You speak naturally in clean claim rate, DSO, denial rate by payer, PA turnaround, VOB accuracy, and AR aging. You use reports to coach your team and answer questions confidently — in 1-1s, in leadership reviews, and on customer calls. Candid Health experience is a major plus; strong Excel is the floor.
- AI-forward. You use Claude, Gemini, or other AI tools weekly and can walk us through specific workflows you've built or adapted. If you're not already working this way, this role isn't a fit.
- Energized by startup pace. You've worked at a growth-stage company where priorities shift, tools change, and you help build the playbook rather than inherit it.
- Tech-savvy and curious. You learn new software fast. You're genuinely excited about technology and change — not just tolerant of it.
- A strong communicator. You're clear, professional, and confident — on your team's 1-1s, on a leadership update, and on a customer call.
