A2G is seeking a skilled Crew Chief with experience supporting Group 3 or larger UAS platforms. The Crew Chief is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of unmanned aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with flight crews to prepare aircraft for missions, training exercises, and test events.

The ideal candidate brings technical expertise in systems troubleshooting, hands-on aircraft maintenance, and a commitment to safety and precision in aerospace operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance compliance with all service bulletins, engineering changes, FAA airworthiness directives, and applicable technical data.

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Support disassembly and reassembly of components during modifications or failure resolution.

  • Conduct inspections of aircraft parts for cleanliness and serviceability prior to use.

  • Fabricate and modify aerospace components per specification and engineering design.

  • Execute validation and verification testing of UAS components and subsystems.

  • Perform launch and recovery operations for unmanned aircraft systems.

  • Safely manage aircraft handling tasks such as towing, jacking, and pre-flight operations.

  • Collaborate with flight crew and engineering to prepare aircraft for missions and testing.

  • Accurately document all maintenance actions in aircraft logbooks.

  • Monitor and report on the condition and tracking of HAZMAT and mission-critical equipment.
