Conveniently located off I-94 and U.S. 131 in Kalamazoo, Pet Vet Family Pet Care Center is looking for a friendly, energetic, and organized Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our close-knit, community-focused team.

As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and delivering top-tier care. Your responsibilities will include:

• →Perform patient triage and obtain accurate medical histories
• →Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
• →Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia
• →Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and oral charting
• →Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
• →Place IV catheters and administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed
• →Take and develop diagnostic radiographs
• →Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care
• →Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventative care
• →Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• →Ensure proper sterilization of surgical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
• →Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies
• →Follow all state regulations, hospital protocols, and safety standards

• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program (Associate Degree)
• Successful completion of the VTNE and current Michigan LVT license
• Genuine passion for patient care and client education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional demeanor with a team-first attitude
• Prior experience in the veterinary field
