Conveniently located off I-94 and U.S. 131 in Kalamazoo, Pet Vet Family Pet Care Center is looking for a friendly, energetic, and organized Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our close-knit, community-focused team.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and delivering top-tier care. Your responsibilities will include:
- →Perform patient triage and obtain accurate medical histories
- →Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
- →Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia
- →Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and oral charting
- →Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
- →Place IV catheters and administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed
- →Take and develop diagnostic radiographs
- →Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care
- →Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventative care
- →Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- →Ensure proper sterilization of surgical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
- →Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies
- →Follow all state regulations, hospital protocols, and safety standards
- Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program (Associate Degree)
- Successful completion of the VTNE and current Michigan LVT license
- Genuine passion for patient care and client education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a team-first attitude
- Prior experience in the veterinary field
