PR Assistant

PLUG is an award-winning independent Marketing and Communications Agency based in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. We are looking for a recent graduate to join as a Public Relations Assistant (bilingual). The right candidate will be bilingual with native-level proficiency in spoken and written Cantonese (Traditional Chinese) and great business level English language. 

This role includes:

• Providing administrative support to the PR and Marketing Teams across lifestyle, corporate and technology accounts.
• Media monitoring and coverage tracking
• Compilation of coverage reports – daily, weekly and monthly
• Support industry news research
• Maintain and update media and influencer databases
• Provide assistance for ad-hoc projects and assignments including managing media product loans and deliveries and working with suppliers
• Support on event management
• Translate documents from Chinese to English and from English to Chinese
• Create news angles and pitches for media
• Media, blogger and influencer outreach

The ideal candidate will:

• Have completed a previous PR internship. If not, they may be asked to do a PR internship with PLUG first.
• Be fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese) - written and spoken
• Have a positive and professional attitude
• Have great organisational skills and be able to multitask
• Want to be part of a fun, fast-moving and ambitious team
• Have great writing skills in both English and Chinese
