JOB OVERVIEW The Marine Superintendent – Dredging is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, supervision, and execution of the dredging, marine operations and marine construction activities of the project. This includes capital dredging and maintenance dredging works, sediment treatment works, reclamation works, marine structures and all associated marine based activities. The role works closely with contractors, maritime operators, survey teams, environmental consultants, and project management personnel to ensure that the dredging and marine operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, environmental requirements, and schedule commitments. The ideal candidate has experience in dredging and marine works, reclamations, tug and barge operations and, marine structures including sheet pile cofferdams, wharfs, jetties. THE ROLE • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of dredging and reclamation operations,marine transportation operations and construction of marine structures. • Coordinate daily site activities with dredging contractors, vessel masters, survey teams,environmental specialists, and construction personnel. • Supervise dredging, reclamation and operations and monitor compliance with approved methodologies, specifications, environmental permits, and safety requirements. • Support the mobilization, vessel inspections, marine transport operations, and monitoring of dredging equipment, including cutter suction dredgers, backhoe dredgers, grab dredgers, tug and barge operations, and the associated supporting marine spread. • Review dredging plans, method statements, technical submitals, risk assessments, and construction schedules. • Monitor dredging productivity, equipment utilization, material quantities, hydrographic surveys and progress against project milestones. • Monitor the dredge material treatment works, reclamation activities, or beneficial reuse of dredged material in compliance with environmental regulations. • Monitor the construction of temporary and permanent marine structures including sheetpile cofferdams, wharfs, jetties, marine access facilities, and waterfront support infrastructure. • Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, environmental, marine, and construction teams to resolve technical and operational issues. • Conduct site inspections and monitor quality, safety, environmental compliance, and construction performance. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly engineering reports, progress updates, and construction documentation. • Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities associated with dredging and marine works. Requirements • Master Mariner seafarers qualification recognized by STCW Convention or alternatively; • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or related discipline; PRC License preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in dredging, marine construction, vessel operations or port construction projects; 10+ years preferred.
