We are a growing and dynamic company to work with providing the key to your future success. We are currently seeking: Journeyman Boom Truck operators for work in Edmonton. Responsibilities: Determine the appropriate crane setup, rigging and lift points utilizing the information available (load weights, crane charts, rigging tags, and distances etc. Coordinate and plan lifts and jobs with Encore Journeyman Boom Truck Operators, record all lift plans on the back of the FLHA form. Complete all required electronic and hardcopy paperwork and submit it in a timely manner (BOL’s, Drivers logs, Pre/post trips, & FLHA’s, trailer load paperwork, crane logs etc. Direct assigned signallers following verification of rigging and signally competency. Complete unit familiarization training procedure and paperwork on all new and unfamiliar equipment. Review and adhere to Encore’s lifting procedures. Complete monthly maintenance and inspection on assigned truck(s) and crane(s). Adhere to an on-call rotation schedule. Maintain equipment cleanliness and stock of supplies when completing a post trip walk around. Provide mentorship and training to Apprentices, Swamper/Riggers and new employees. Follow customer and site specific procedures and policies. Communicate with Dispatchers on job progress updates and changes through out the day. Consult with Dispatch on all difficult lifts or significant job scope changes. Job Requirements Journeyman Boom Truck Certificate (Alberta or equivalent) Class 1 drivers license with airbrake endorsement 5 year clean driving abstract Skills/Qualifications: High safety awareness Basic mechanical skills Able to repeatedly lift 50lbs during the course of a working day Works well independently and when required, in a team atmosphere Effective time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines Good co-ordination, manual dexterity and vision Excellent inter-personal and communication skills Comfortable to work at heights
