This position supports our workers' compensation line of business, Eastern Alliance, and is hybrid, reporting to any of our Eastern Alliance office locations approximately two times per month.

The primary responsibility of the Premium Audit Executive is the accurate completion of assigned audits in a professional, ethical manner that is consistent with company and state guidelines. Additional responsibilities include establishing appropriate classifications, exposures and basis of premium, managing time and workload to maximize number of audits performed and minimize expenses, cultivating and developing high quality company-agency and company client working relationships, and providing assistance to manager as needed with items such as Visual Audit Administration, strategic partner reviews and requirements, monthly reporting, and agency relationships/education.

Responsibilities

  • →60% - Manage audit assignments, performing territorial management of process with focus on large and complex accounts. Analyze select audits by reviewing the insured’s business operations, including examining, verifying and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial/business records. Conduct audits to optimize timeliness and productivity. Resolve issues with the insured to ensure understanding of issues and to cultivate high quality working relationships with customers and agency partners.
  • →15% - Assist manager in Visual Audit Administrator rights with audit assignment ordering and transferring responsibilities. Approve audits greater than 10,000 premium adjustments, process audits in AGO system. Monitor and manage aged 120-day audit listing and make appropriate recommendations.
  • →10% - Lead, direct and coach the work of less experienced team members. Support professional development of staff by mentoring specified individuals and assisting with new team member orientation. Conduct formalized training presentations.
  • →5% - Serve as the main point of contact for assigned region; bring audit disputes to resolution, as well handle non-cooperative audit situations. Collaborate with manager and other departments on operational objectives, identifying operational efficiencies and special projects.
  • →2% - Assistance with management in preparing reports as needed.
  • →2% - Communicates audit results and decisions to customers respecting business relationships.
  • →2% - Identify issues to be addressed by underwriter.
  • →2% - Attend related training seminars as needed.
  • →2% - Travel, possibly overnight on occasional basis.

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, insurance or related field as well as ten years of field premium audit experience is required; prefer advanced certification or training (i.e. Associate in Premium Audit (APA) or Certified Insurance Premium Auditor (CIPA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications; ability to learn new computer software applications.
  • Attention to detail in processing information, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Advance organizational and time management skills.
  • Advance analytical and problem-solving skills, including formulating logical and objective conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization as well as with outside customers and clients.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision; ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to attend insurance industry/business functions to promote and present a positive image of the Company.
