Product Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the disposables and accessories portfolio, aligning with PROCEPT’s overall vision.
Define product roadmaps and scope features based on customer needs and business objectives.
Plan, manage, and incorporate Voice of Customers into product strategy and planning.
Product Management:
Own the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and partner with Product Marketing for Go-to-Market and post-launch support.
Develop in-depth technical and clinical knowledge of Aquablation therapy, urological anatomy, disease states, BPH procedures, and associated products.
Conduct user research, in-field observations, and gather in-field feedback and Voice of Customer to gain deep understanding of user needs and inform product improvements.
Define product requirements and collaborate with engineering, design, and clinical teams to conduct evaluations of concepts and prototypes, translating key insights into actionable feedback to deliver impactful solutions.
Manage multiple product workstreams in parallel at various stages of the product lifecycle and balance priorities, ensuring new products and improvements to meet business objectives.
Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines related to medical devices and surgical robotics to ensure compliance and mitigate risks throughout entire product lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership:
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels (individual contributors to executive leaders).
Lead and drive cross-functional teams through trade-off discussions, proposals and decisions. Provide clarity and direction amid ambiguity.
Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external customers (e.g. surgeons).
Provide key input and ensure completion of all product deliverables in support of Design Control execution.
Market Launch and Adoption:
Develop comprehensive launch and transition plans, in collaboration with other commercial support teams.
Support the development of marketing assets, training materials, clinical documentation, and educational resources for internal teams and customers.
Support initial product launches by supporting initial cases during LMR (Limited Market Release).
Support development and commercial efforts by participating in conferences, symposiums, and customer engagements to showcase product capabilities and clinical evidence.
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, marketing or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in product management or related functions, demonstrating career progression within product development or commercial roles in the medical device industry.
Strong critical, analytical, and strategic thinking, along with the initiative to drive change. It also calls for the ability to ask insightful questions to uncover core needs while collaborating effectively across a diverse team.
Strong desire and motivation to operate as a hands-on leader responsible for driving execution from strategy to delivery
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Onsite (3 days per week minimum)
Advanced degree (MBA or MS).
Experience managing high volume, disposable medical devices
Experience managing products that interface with complex capital equipment
Strong understanding of medical device Design Controls processes and product management deliverables.
Experience with Jira and Jama.
