Within the School, the Department of Pharmacy delivers contemporary programs including the Doctor of Pharmacy (entry-to-practice) and postgraduate coursework in advanced pharmacy practice. The Department works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, industry partners, and the broader community to strengthen the pharmacy workforce and advance medicines optimisation through education and research.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist and educator to contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) across the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

You will play a key role in designing and coordinating high-quality clinical placements, ensuring students gain meaningful, diverse, and practice-ready experiences aligned with evolving scopes of practice and accreditation standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and coordination of WIL units across undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programs
  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of practice-based education, including innovative assessment methods such as Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs)
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hospitals, community pharmacy, aged care, and primary care settings to support sustainable clinical placements
  • Engage with industry preceptors and supervisors through training, support, and site engagement activities
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance processes, and accreditation requirements (including APC standards)
  • Support data-informed continuous improvement through analysis of student, supervisor, and placement outcomes
  • Contribute to a collaborative academic environment through teaching, service, and professional engagement activities

You will also support WIL delivery across practitioner development areas such as prescribing, advanced medicines management, and chronic disease education during peak periods.
