Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Band 7 Locum PET-CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing PET-CT scans, ensuring high-quality imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. You will operate sophisticated PET-CT equipment, manage patient preparation and care during procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols. Your role includes maintaining detailed and accurate records, contributing to the continuous improvement of imaging services, and working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the HCPC or equivalent regulatory body.
- Significant experience in PET-CT imaging, preferably at Band 7 level.
- Proficiency in operating PET-CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
- Evidence of continued professional development in PET-CT technology and imaging.
