~1 min readThis Trust is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing department with access to advanced respiratory diagnostics and procedures, including EBUS, thoracoscopy, and strong support for ILD, pleural, and sleep/ventilation services.
We are expanding and welcome applicants with subspecialty interests in sleep medicine, ventilation, lung cancer, or other areas. Flexible contracts and additional PAs are available to support work-life balance and professional development.
Requirements
~1 min read- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of interview)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCP)
- Subspecialty interest in sleep/ventilation, lung cancer, or interventional respiratory medicine is desirable
- A friendly, ambitious, and multidisciplinary team including consultants, specialist nurses, and advanced care practitioners
- Services include interventional bronchoscopy (EBUS, thoracoscopy), sleep and ventilation, ILD, and pleural disease
- Strong emphasis on teaching, research, and clinical leadership
- No acute medicine ward rounds; light 1:6 weekend rota
- Opportunities for additional specialty or management PAs and flexible working arrangements
