R&D – Embedded Display Software Development Engineer

## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Job Function * 5+ years of experience in embedded development or 3+ years of work Display related experience. Experience in display development is preferred. * Develop driver/HAL of new display modules on Qualcomm chipsets with good stability and quality delivery on Linux/Android OS. * Enable display functions on new Qualcomm chipsets in close coordination with the various internal/international technology teams on Linux/Android OS. Skills/Experience * Strong C/C++ programming skills. * Familiar with Git, repo and GNU make, python, Linux shell script. * Experience with embedded systems including compiling, loading, executing, and debugging firmware images. * Familiar with display interfaces and technologies, MIPI DSI, HDMI, DP. * Familiar with Linux kernel and device driver. * Familiar with Android/Linux display software stack (HWC/Weston). The experience working on Qualcomm platforms is a plus. * Good at both oral and written English. Responsibilities * Bring up, debug and improve the performance of the existing Display driver and display software. * Issue triage to identify problems and develop investigation strategies. * Work on display features. Help to design the workflow, implement code, verify the functionality, and release the software. * Follow established software processes and procedures and contribute towards ever improving software quality. * Having certain management and coordination abilities. Coordinate with internal/international technology teams about issue fixes and solutions. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
