## Company: Qualcomm Israel Ltd. ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Modem Technologies General Summary: Staff HW Engineer – RISC-V CPU Sub-System Architecture (Israel) Location Israel (Hod Hasharon) About the Role Qualcomm is seeking a Staff Engineer to work on the architecture and integration of next-generation RISC-V CPU sub-systems. This role spans architecture definition, system integration, collaborating across CPU Design DV, SoC, SW/FW, modeling, and validation teams. Key Responsibilities * Define architecture specifications of CPU sub-system * Support integration into complex SoCs and align across HW/SW teams * Act as technical focal point across global teams * Contribute to architecture and design reviews Minimum Qualifications * B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science * 5+ years of VLSI design experience * Hands on RTL Design capability with focus on Performance/Power/Area excellence * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Good understanding and experience of one of the following fields: CPU, Caches, Interconnects, Debug, Security. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with NoC architecture and on-chip interconnects * Experience with RISC-V architecture * Experience with multi-core system design * Experience in bare metal and/or RTOS based FW/SW development * Familiarity with FW/SW-HW interaction Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. *References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
