The Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service at Modbury Hospital is a well-regarded inpatient and community rehabilitation team delivering meaningful outcomes for people across the northern Adelaide region. What You'll Be DoingBased at Modbury Hospital within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), you'll work as an integral part of the rehabilitation team to support patients in regaining function and independence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for rehabilitation clients representing with neurological, orthopaedic, amputee and reconditioning conditions
- Developing and implementing evidence-based, goal-directed treatment plans in collaboration with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
- Facilitating discharge planning including home assessments, equipment prescription, minor home modifications and community referrals
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and supporting junior staff and students within the team
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in a rehabilitation, acute, or related clinical setting
- Strong skills in functional assessment, equipment prescription, and discharge planning
- Ability to manage a complex caseload with sound clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills
- Effective communication and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care
- Alignment with NALHN's values of respect, integrity, and accountability in public health delivery
To be eligible for this position, you must Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
