WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
This is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful projects that improve healthcare services and outcomes across regional South Australia. As the Senior Project Officer, Clinical Services, you will contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative models of care, with a particular focus on supporting people living with chronic disease and enhancing community-based care options.
Working collaboratively with Local Health Networks, government and non-government partners, you will lead complex projects that drive service improvement, strengthen regional healthcare delivery, and support better patient experiences and outcomes. This role offers the chance to apply your project management expertise, influence system-wide change, and make a significant impact in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
WHO ARE WE?
The RSS is a directorate of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, that delivers a range of enabling services, such as workforce planning and recruitment, digital health, finance, infrastructure, procurement, and clinical governance support. Our purpose is to strengthen and sustain healthcare delivery in rural and regional areas by providing consistent, efficient, and specialist support functions to the six regional local health networks (LHNs) across South Australia. We work across 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, as well as 3 Adelaide offices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for improving healthcare delivery and leading initiatives that enhance outcomes for people living with chronic and complex conditions?
- Do you have strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to drive service improvement and support the implementation of innovative models of care across diverse healthcare settings?
- Can you build productive partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels, working collaboratively with clinicians, managers, Local Health Networks, and external organisations?
- Are you able to analyse complex service, workforce, and health system challenges, using evidence, data, and contemporary practice to develop effective solutions?
- Do you thrive in an autonomous role where you can provide expert clinical advice, lead change, and contribute to strategic service planning across regional South Australia?
HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
You will……….
- Lead and coordinate regional and state-wide projects that support innovative models of care, with a focus on strengthening community-based services and improving outcomes for people with chronic disease.
- Provide expert nursing leadership and clinical advice to support service redesign, workforce development, and the implementation of evidence-based healthcare initiatives.
- Partner with regional Local Health Networks, clinicians, and key stakeholders to facilitate change, build capability, and support the successful adoption of new service models.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on project outcomes, using data, research, and quality improvement principles to inform decision-making and enhance service delivery.
- Champion best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve access, quality, and sustainability of healthcare services across regional South Australia.
